For this Art Direction assignment, we were tasked with developing a hypothetical beverage brand, designing labels for three beverages, and a collection of marketing materials.
My brand, Fjord, is an organic beverage company targeting stores like Planet Organic, Blush Lane Markets, and Sunterra. Capitalizing on the current trend of local, artisanal products, they are striving to achieve that high-end personality while remaining in the mass market category.
Pulling inspiration from artisanal products, large brands like Starbucks, and lifestyle trends like “hygge” and wellness activities, Fjord presents a range of products that would appeal to a market familiar with Starbucks as well as people who are looking specifically for organic beverages.
The mockups were printed on Japanese art paper to achieve the texture and the gold accents were painted on. Ideally, this would be done with a foiling technique once the brand reached the manufacturing stage.
